Limiting the cost of home insurance in Florida?

"I've a 3month old toddler.we only moved to US from sydney. got a bunch  insurance ">insurance  provided by my manager - with Combined health care. Prefer to learnIn NYC there is other methods for getting inexpensive medical  insurance  and also freelancers unions. Something similar in SoCal
